18-year-old in custody confesses to molesting at least 50 children

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (KFSN) -- Riverside Police say the mother of 18-year-old Joseph Hayden Boston, turned her son in Saturday morning.

Officials say when they interviewed Boston, he confessed to sexually assaulting two boys who were staying at a motel with their parents.

They were eight and four years old.

He also told officials he has been molesting children since he was ten years old and is now booked into a detention center with a bail set of one-million dollars.

Ryan Railsback of the Riverside Police said, "This is going to affect not only the victims for a long time, but also our detectives and officers involved in this -- to hear someone just be very open about what they've done, and they're only 18 themselves,"

Police say they are hopeful other victims will recognize Boston and come forward.

Their investigation also found that the two children staying with their parents at the motel were given permission to go into the suspect's room when the molestation occurred.

The County of Riverside Child Protective Services took custody of both boys from the hotel.
