Fresno Police Officer Back on Duty

Fresno, California Whether he can keep his job will depend on the results of an internal investigation.

Police say in November, Officer Craig Howard hit a jogger with his car at the intersection of Audubon and Cole in northeast Fresno.

Howard had just finished his shift.

The Fresno County District Attorney's Office has filed charges against Officer Howard, including misdemeanor manslaughter.

That charge could carry up to one year in county jail and a possible fine.
