Merced police arrested three teenage girls for a series of thefts that landed them more than a-thousand dollars worth of electronics. The girls are students at Golden Valley High School and police say that's where they stole things out of six different backpacks on Thursday.

Investigators say the girls confessed to taking cell phones, i-pods, mp3 players, and a digital camera from the girl's locker room.

Police say they found most of the stolen gadgets at the suspects' homes.
