Sheriff's Deputies tell Action News that a Fresno police tactical team was following the male suspect when he entered a liquor store and proceeded to rob it.
Once the suspect left the store the tactical team approached to arrest him. At that time the suspect led officers on a chase.
At one point during the chase the suspect opened fire on the officers. Police shot back killing the suspect.
The Fresno County Sheriff's department is handling the investigation because it happened in a county pocket.
