Surf While You Ride

KFSN Fresno will begin planning for wireless internet access on the city's FAX buses.

Councilman Jerry Duncan proposed the idea to install Wi-Fi on city buses and at some bus stops. Duncan, who is also a candidate for mayor, says the program could help bring-in more bus riders. "The bottom line is people could change their habits, ride the bus because it's more convenient... And that's one piece of the puzzle" said Duncan.

It would cost between $200 and $500 dollars to install the system on the buses. Internet access would cost under a hundred dollars a month.
