Environmentalists investigate bird deaths

About 65 birds have died on NoCal shores
SAN FRANCISCO Gary Langham, with the Audubon Society in California, says that at this time of the year only one or two birds turn up in a week.

But about 65 birds have shown up dead - including about a dozen Friday.

Wildlife advocates aren't sure of the cause, but many suspect that two recent sewage spills may be to blame. More than 5 million gallons of raw sewage poured from the Sewerage Agency of Southern Marin into the bay in the last week of January.
