Fresno Flood District Finds Itself in a Big Hole

A repair team is trying to repair a huge area where the road collapsed near the intersection of Cedar and Copper in North Fresno. Crews are calling it a wash-out.

Apparently a device called a "form" Which is used to set concrete under the streets was never removed.

Rain Tuesday night forced the form loose causing water to back up and overflow into the streets.

Water poured into a nearby retention pond eventually gutting it and destroying the sidewalk.

Crews are working to place dirt back in the hole and repair it by Sunday.
