One Dead, Three Injured at Party in Fresno

Fresno Shortly before 2:00 am, deputies responded to the area of North and Peach regarding reports of shots fired. When they arrived in the area, deputies located three shooting victims at three separate locations between the intersection of Peach & North and Peach & Jensen.

All three victims were transported to Community Regional Medical Center. Of the three, one was listed in critical condition and the other two were admitted into the hospital with non-life threatening wounds.

At the same time, the Sheriff's Office was advised of a fourth shooting victim who had arrived at CRMC. The victim died as a result of his gunshot wounds.

Deputies also discovered the shooting scene in front of a vacant residence located at 3673 S. Peach Ave. The investigation revealed that a large party had been taking place at the residence with approximately 150 people attending.

Apparently after the shooting occurred in front of the residence, all four victims were transported out of the area in separate vehicles. Only the one vehicle carrying the murder victim made it to the hospital. The other three stopped at three different locations on Peach Ave. where they were found by responding deputies.

Early reports of the shooting being gang related have not been confirmed.

Many of the partygoers were interviewed at the scene. Investigators are asking anyone who was present at the party to please contact Detective Hector Palma at 488-3729, or the Fresno County Sheriff's Office at 488-3111.
