Officers found a rifle nearby.
A 911 call of an "accidental" shooting came in around 9:30pm Tuesday night from an upscale home near Sunnyside and Nees. Neighbors reported hearing two gunshots.
When officers arrived at the home, they found the garage door open. Inside, they found a man in his 80's dead in the garage and his wife in her late 50's with gunshot wounds. She was taken to community regional medical center where she died.
Police spent the night going over the crime scene trying to figure out what happened.
