The ABC reality show "The Bachelor" is holding an open casting call tonight and two bachelorettes Action News spoke to, said they hope next season's Bachelor chooses a girl from the Valley.

Shelby Callas can definitely picture herself stepping out of that limo and into the next bachelor's arms. So can Ruthie Magallanes.

The Fresno sales reps are co-workers, friends, and could possibly become rivals for the same guy. The two plan to try out together tonight for the ABC reality show The Bachelor.

"It's not something you get to do every day; the opportunity to try out doesn't come along very often. Being a single lady in Fresno, why not?" said Shelby Callas.

Producers of the show are holding one of 15 open casting calls at the Tachi Palace in Lemoore. Hundreds of interested bachelorettes are expected to show up.

The producers will choose one bachelor and up to 25 bachelorettes. The show follows the bachelor as he goes on a series of dates with the women. On each episode women are eliminated, during a rose ceremony at the end of the episode.

But are the girls ready to bare their love lives on national television?

"I lived in a sorority house, I know what it's like to live with girls and all the drama and I think I could get through it," said Shelby.

And if it came down to the final episode?

"That's what I was thinking on this last one, when he got down on his knee, and he proposed to her, I was thinking, I'm only 23, I don't know if I'm ready for this," said Ruthie.
