Chief Dyer Holds New Office

Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer officially became president of "The California Chiefs of Police Association."The Association is holding its annual conference in Downtown Fresno this year.

One of Wednesday night's attendees was Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. This was her first public event since her announcement, and surgery.

Dyer addressed the police chiefs and said he will fight for funding to keep California cities and towns safe.

The Police Chiefs Association represents more than 1,000 active and retired chiefs across California.
