Spitzer Sex Scandal

3/11/2008 New York Husband, father, Attorney General, Sheriff of Wall Street, Governor of New York; Eliot Spitzer is known by many names but "client number 9" is the one he may never live down.

The investigation continues into the Governor of the Empire State and his connection with the Emperor's Club. The affidavit refers to Governor Spitzer as "client number nine" is quite contrary to the name he made for himself prosecuting the same crimes he now stands accused of. "I have disappointed and failed to live up to the standard I expected of myself," said Governor Spitzer.

Court papers filed last week connected Spitzer with Emperors Club VIP, an alleged prostitution ring which charged up to $5,500 dollars an hour.

During a recorded conversation, client number 9 arranges for a prostitute named Kristen to take a train from New York City to Washington D.C. on February 13th. Governor Spitzer booked a room 871 at the Mayflower Hotel that night, and testified before congress the next day.

When asked what Kristen will look like, he is told: "American, petite, very pretty brunette."

The governor would be required to resign if he is convicted of a felony. Some legal experts speculate that Governor Spitzer may not resign in order to use the office as a negotiating tool with prosecutors.
