Money For Athletics

Several Fresno schools will get a chunk of nearly $10 million from the district for athletic projects including a much-needed new track at Bullard high school.Several students complained at Wednesday's board meeting about injuries they suffered because of the poor condition of the track at Bullard.

The board earmarked $4.8 million for a new all-weather track as well as lights around the track and a new turf infield. Also Fresno high school will get $2.5 million to pay for a new competition swimming pool.

In all the board OK'd funding for a dozen projects at seven high schools.
