Fire Strikes Valley Dairy

3/22/2008 Fresno But when you take a closer look inside, you can see some burned metal and the insulation that caught fire just before 11:00 Saturday morning.

Firefighters interviewed employees who evacuated and found out the insulation caught fire while someone was welding nearby. But the building is built to fight back against fires.

Rich Cabral, Fresno Fire Department, says "The real key factor in this whole emergency was the fact that Producers Dairy has an active sprinkler system at site, so when a fire started, it activated and kept that fire in check."

The fire was contained to one warehouse and nobody got badly hurt.

Investigators cleared the dairy to get back to business this afternoon.
