The search is on for a hit-and-run driver who authorities say killed a teenager riding his skateboard.Friends and relatives of 14-year-old Justin Carrasco gathered at the intersection of Montebello and Jefferson Boulevards where the teen was hit early Saturday morning.

Carrasco was rushed to the hospital with major head injuries.

He died a short time later.

"I saw Justin get away from the car and the car tried to get away from him too. He went into the car and he got hit and I saw him flying up in the air," said Christian Coronado, Justin's friend who witnessed the incident.

Investigators are looking for a dark-colored SUV which they say should have significant front-end damage.

Police say the driver stopped briefly but then continued northbound on Montebello Boulevard.
