Firefighters had the blaze knocked down quickly to just one apartment on the first floor.
They found three burn victims: two men and a woman.
The men are listed in critical condition, while the woman's condition is considered grave.
Arson investigators were called to the scene, but they don't know yet if the fire was intentionally set.
