Investigation into O.C. siblings' deaths

TUSTIN The bodies of 57-year-old Jacqueline Savage and 51-year-old Daniel Savage were discovered in north Tustin over the weekend.

The circumstances are unusual. There was no forced entry or obvious cause of death, but Jacqueline was on her bedroom floor with blood around her ears and mouth. Daniel was in his room with dark shoe polish smeared on his face.

"Daniel Savage actually drank that black shoe polish," said Jim Amormino of the Orange County Sheriff's Department. "That accounts for the black shoe polish around his mouth and all around his face."

The initial autopsies performed Monday were inconclusive.

Toxicology test results will take about a month.
