All southband lanes of the Golden Gate Bridge are closed following a multi-car pile-up midspan. Several people have been injured.

Several lanes are closed between the toll plaza and the north tower due to an accident. The multi-vehicle crash involved six vehicles, including a motorcycle and caused the bridge to be completely shut down for about an hour.

San Francisco Fire Lt. Mindy Talmadge says nine patients were transported to area hospitals in San Francisco and Marin. Two patients have life-threatening injuries.
