San Diego Swimmer Died from Shark Attack

4/25/2008 San Diego Sheriff's deputies found the victim around 7:00am at Solana Beach in San Diego County. The 66-year-old died an hour after being found.

Officials said the swimmer was training for a triathlon with about ten people during the attack. He had a single shark bite across both legs.

Helicopters are being used to see if the shark is still in the area and a 17-mile stretch of beaches could remain closed for at least 72 hours during the investigation.
