Merced Police say they don't have a motive or a suspect description, but it appears the suspects walked up to the home. "Our understanding is that no words were exchanged but one of the suspects drew up a weapon and began firing," says Commander Floyd Higdon with the Merced Police Department.
Both men who died got hit several times.
Neighbors say they heard a series of popping sounds. They called for help and gave CPR to one of the victims, but they say the man died there on the sidewalk.
Police are investigating whether the shooting was gang related.
