Yankee officials watched yesterday as construction workers removed a buried Red Sox jersey from two feet of concrete in a service corridor under construction. The jersey has slugger David Ortiz's name on it. The Yankees said construction worker Gino Castignoli, who is a Red Sox fan, recently, buried it there while on the job.

Some Red Sox fans say they have a tough enough team to take on the Yankees this season.

"Real, not real, cursed or not, I don't think we need any extra help. I think just this past year the World Series, it shows it for itself and we're a good team."

The Yankees plan to turn the curse around and donate the jersey to charity. They also may consider a lawsuit against the worker.
