Fresno State and its "red wave" are making room on campus for a little "green" in an effort to spare the Environment.Fresno State launched its eco-products line at the Residence Dining Hall Friday morning. All of the food was served on products that are bio-degradable and recyclable.

Today's launch was designed to help faculty and staff understand the "green campus" initiative.

After today's event all of the green waste was taken to the Fresno State farm lab and added to the compost pile. It takes about 8 to 12 weeks for the products to degrade naturally. Then the farm labs can begin using a planting material.
