Republican presidential candidate attends meeting in Charlotte

On the Republican side of the presidential race, Senator John McCain is in North Carolina Monday afternoon.

He's attending a Chamber of Commerce meeting in Charlotte.

McCain says he knows that America is having a tough time and many families are struggling with jobs and mortgages.

The Arizona senator also talked about how technology is changing around the world and how Americans should embrace it in the workforce

"We are gone from the era of the old industrial revolution to the information technology revolution, we should not fear that change, we should never fear that change....best trained workers in the world," said Sen. McCain.

McCain also stressed the need for energy independence and less reliance on foreign oil.
