Obama inches closer to clinching nomination

5/18/2008 Clinton and Obama are stumping ahead of Tuesday's primaries in Kentucky and Oregon.

Sunday, each of the Democrats will campaign in the state they're expected to win.

Clinton in Kentucky.

Obama, meantime, will be in Oregon.

Obama is inching closer to the nomination.

This weekend he picked up more delegates in Kansas, Nevada and Maryland.

With the lead in hand, Obama has begun focusing his attention on Republican candidate John McCain. McCain this weekend made an appearance on 'Saturday Night Live.'

The 71-year-old was poking fun at his age saying he "has the experience and most importantly the oldness necessary" for the job.
