"For me it was the place where I felt most comfortable being. Of course the area is great but so are the coaches and players. The girls there are just awesome," said Gipson.
"She practiced hard every day. Just a true professional on the court and a real dream to coach, she will be missed," said Rams coach Brian Tessler.
This past season Gipson showed no ill-effects of a major knee injury that sidelined her freshman year at Arizona State. She went on to lead the Rams in scoring, rebounding and blocks per game.
