High winds made it difficult for crews to contain the fire. One ranch owner described watching the force of nature. "The fire just started to run like a wild animal. it was amazing. I've never really been that close to something that acted that uncontrollable and the fire dept they did an excellent job containing this fire," said Keith Freitas.
Fire investigators believe a downed power line sparked the flames.
