Snow started falling in the Wrightwood area on Thursday and it's expected to continue through Saturday.
Memorial Day weekend is traditionally yard sale time in Wrightwood, with people coming from all over, but not this year.
"People come up here, rent motels. They all get sold out and go home with all their trailers full of stuff," said one Wrightwood resident. "I don't know. It was a big snow year this year and maybe it will snow on the fourth of July, too."
And while there isn't quite enough snow to require chains, authorities are advising drivers to keep them in their cars just in case.
