The bulldogs are back, for the first time since 1991, Fresno State is headed to Omaha!

In one of the most shocking upsets in college baseball history, Fresno State is moving on to the College World Series.

Pure joy for the baseball Bulldogs after taking two of three games from third ranked Arizona State clinching Tuesday night's matchup 12-9 in Tempe.

The bulldogs struck for six runs in the 7th inning and then had to hang on in 9th after the Sun Devils made a serious charge of their own, scoring four runs and putting the winning run at the plate before Fresno State was able to get the final batter to fly out with the bases loaded.

Unranked when the postseason began, the Bulldogs now head to Omaha and the College World Series where they hope their Cinderella story continues.

Fresno State will play 6-seed Rice on Sunday at 11 a.m. at Rosenblatt Stadium.
