Fresno State Fans in Omaha

6/16/2008 Omaha The bulldogs took an aggressive approach at the owls. In the top of the 2nd, Danny Muno singled in two runs to help Fresno State to a 4 nothing lead. Two innings later Muno strikes again. A blast with two runners on for a three run homerun gave Fresno State a 7 to 0 lead.

They weren't through. The dogs sent 11 men to the plate in that inning. Alan Ahmady's screamer over the left field wall tacks 3 more on the board and hikes the lead to eleven to nothing.

In the sixth, Fresno State strikes for more. Jordan Ribera hit Fresno State's 3rd three-run homerun of the game. That ran the lead up to sixteen to one.

Tommy Mendonca capped Fresno State's scoring with the teams 4th homerun of the game.

The final score was 17 to 5, with Fresno State on top. That's the highest scoring outburst by a team at the College World Series since Tennessee scored 19 in a game in 2001.
