The Oliver Fire in Mariposa County is expected to get a big dousing Wednesday as a new wave of firefighters moves in to battle flames.

Large plumes of white smoke hovered over the Ponderosa Basin Tuesday. Low visibility from stagnant air stopped the air tankers from moving in.

1,400-hundred acres have burned so far. No homes have burned but a handful of residents have been asked to evacuate.

The fire started Sunday from a lightning storm.
