Bout Scout Pinned by Boulder Rescued

Fresno County, CA The sheriff's department says the boy was hiking with his troop between Crown Lake and Woodchuck Pass Wednesday afternoon when his leg got pinned by a boulder the size of a minivan.

A National Guard helicopter from northern California flew in to help Cal-Fire rescue the boy.

Rescuers used air bags and hydraulic equipment to move the boulder and got him out after two-and-a-half hours.

He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center. The 15-year-old is in stable condition the extent of his leg injury is not known.
