Bulldog Rock Stars

6/27/2008 Fresno, CA Steve Susdorf and the rest of the Bulldog crew made a grand entrance at Beiden Field. Fans went bananas when the team showed up. They cheered them on TV, but this was their chance to really share in the run for the National Championship.

A ride on the fire truck was just the beginning, over 6,000 fans packed into Beiden Field for the NCAA Title Celebration. The overflow crowd stood outside the infield.

The players were absolutely stunned so many people showed up.

The bulldogs haven't slept much since winning the national championship but the crowd gave them a big dose of adrenalin.

Dale Yurong: "What do you think of all this?"

Steve Detwiler, Bulldog right-fielder: "This is amazing. This is awesome. I've never seen anything like this in my life. This is absolutely insane.

Yurong: "What do you want to say to the fans right now?"

Detwiler: "Thank you everybody for coming out. This awesome this is the reason why we play ball, hey Tommy what do you think about all this?"

Tommy Mendonca, College World Series MVP: "Incredible I love it. It's one of the best things to ever happen right now. Can't explain. Memories you won't forget."

Jordan Ribera, Bulldog designated hitter: "Its amazing. Unbelievable. What a great feeling. The community get like this it's unbelievable

The Diamond Dogs soaking it all in at Beiden Field, stunned by the sea of red. They were so appreciative of the support. It had the feel of a big game but we all knew the result.

Fresno State will forever be known as the 2008 NCAA National Champions.

The noise the crowd generated probably reached the level of a jet engine. Plenty of ringing ears but what a party.
