Police said the victim's friend drove him to St. Agnes Medical Center. He is in "very critical" condition.
Police said the victim may have known his shooter. Officers taped off the entire Denny's parking lot area to search for evidence. People inside the restaurant had to wait several hours before they could leave in their cars.
No word on what led to the shooting.
