Hospital Evacuation?

July 27, 2008 12:00:00 AM PDT
Close to thirty hospital patients may have to run from the flames if the fire gets any bigger. The flames are coming close to the John C. Fremont Clinic in Mariposa, so they're on standby for a possible evacuation. Because of that, the clinic has made arrangements to have beds ready for patients in Merced and Turlock and as far away as Fresno.

Maureen Spacke, nursing supervisor, says "Dr. Mozier, our county health officer, has actually several buses ready and waiting and we have ambulances ready to go if we need them."

The emergency room at Fremont hospital is still open and taking in patients.

The hospital isn't close to the flames right now but their seeing a lot of smoke.
