2 Overnight Fires in Madera County

Madera, CA, USA The fire broke out just after 11:00pm Thursday night at Yosemite and I Street.

A ladder truck, five engines and 23 firefighters fought for several hours to put out the fire. The building was heavily damaged.

The building housed 2 law firms, the court mediator's office and an accountant's firm. It's not yet know how the fire started.

While that fire burned overnight, a Madera County mansion also went up in flames.

Neighbors reported the home's garage on fire. No one was inside the 10,000 square foot house at the time.

26 firefighters fought for several hours to control the blaze, which could be seen for several miles. The house was destroyed, along with at least one vehicle.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
