The tent gives mothers a cool, private place to nurse their babies. It also offers information about the benefits of breastfeeding for mothers and their babies.
Karen Pringle, Prenatal Services Coordinator: "Babies are going to get sick less often ... antibodies breastfeeding will give you."
Coalition members say Tulare County has one of the lowest breastfeeding rates in the state.
But they say the /*Baby Cafe*/ had a great turnout and now they plan to expand the program to other events, like local health fairs.
