Fair-goers also gave money to a relief fund for fire victims like Lonnie and Brenda Richards who lost two homes. "It's just a day off for everybody just to thank god for what we do have and hope for the best," said Lonnie Richards.
"You see old friends, you're happy, you kind of forget about what happened," said Brenda Richards.
Hundreds of fairgoers also stopped by this Cal-fire display that explained how to clear brush around your home.
