Bizarre Armed Home Invasion

9/7/2008 Fresno, CA, USA The victims tell police someone broke into a home at Thompson and Kings Canyon, rubbed spices on the body of one man, hit the other man in the face and head with an eight-inch sausage, then ran off with money taken from the house.

Police didn't have a hard time finding the suspect. He left his wallet with ID at the home.

Officers found the man hiding in an orchard nearby wearing only a t-shirt and his underwear.

The money was recovered, but the weapon in the case won't be. Deputies say the sausage was tossed in the orchard and eaten by a dog.
