Sanger police are investigating a shooting that sent four people to the hospital late last night. It happened at James Street and North Avenue around 10 o'clock.

Investigators say the victims, adult men and teenagers, were shot outside the home, where a family gathering was being held. Witnesses say they saw the suspects running from the area.

Police are trying to figure out what type of gun was used in the shooting. Sgt. Greg Velasquez, Sanger Police, says "Didn't see wounds for it to hit that many people? possible shotgun might have been used in incident."

The four victims were taken to Community Regional Medical Center. Police say their injuries don't appear to be life-threatening.
