Lightning Sparks Fire in Sequoias

September 22, 2008 12:00:00 AM PDT
Firefighters are making progress on a lightning-started fire in the Sequoias. "The hidden fire" is burning about 12 miles from the community of Three Rivers.

Firefighters said cooler temperatures and increased humidity helped slow down the fire, which has burned close to 1,500 acres.

Crews warn there could be delays or closures on Generals Highway while they fight this wildfire, which is about 45-percent contained.
