Fresno, CA, USA The private tour bus was carrying up to 50 passengers to a casino in Colusa County California when it crashed. Witnesses described the bus doing a "cartwheel". "It looked like it rolled over and it's messed up in the rear end is what I saw," said eyewitness David Dunlap.

"The bus veered off the road he overcorrected swung to the other side appears he overcorrected again he lost control the bus rolled off to the west side of the road into a ditch," said Pat Landreth with the California Highway Patrol.

At least eight people were killed. At least 40 others injured. Several were ejected. Medivac helicopters airlifted the injured to a dozen area hospitals.

Emergency responders had trouble communicating with the passengers because many were of Laotian descent.

Officials said the bus driver was on medication. He was dazed and was taken to a local hospital to determine if drugs or alcohol were a factor. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
