South valley authorities say they've shut down a serious counterfeiting operation.Visalia police arrested 37 year old Thomas Kane after investigators say he tried to pass a fake $100.00 dollar bill at a local store.

Visalia police say at least seven local businesses accepted these fake bills. Kane was arrested for manufacturing counterfeit money, which is a federal offense.

Sgt. Steve Phillips said, "You have everything basically needed to make counterfeit bills and you can actually see the process involved from the test sheets and test runs that the suspect had used and also the completed project."

Police believe there may be more victims from Kane's operation.
