Preliminary investigation reveals Burrola was riding a bicycle on Alta, when a vehicle with numerous occupants drove up and fired multiple shots at the victim. The victim was struck at least once.
The vehicle was last seen fleeing south on Chestnut Avenue.
Burrola was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
This is the city's 35th homicide for 2008. Last year at this time there were 44 homicides.
