Water Meter Volunteers

November 10, 2008 6:32:28 PM PST
Fresno is looking for homeowners to help the city get ready for water meters. The city needs volunteers willing to have their water usage tracked for a year. The city says its goal is to select up to ten homes from each of the seven city council districts. It will then do a cost comparison of current water charges per month versus a metered rate.

The city must have all homes on metered water by 2013. The city says the new study will provide an accurate description of a full year's billing cycle if homeowners are on meters.

Volunteers will not be charged the metered rate during the study. Apply for Volunteer study at the City of Fresno Water Division website.
