University spokesman Chris Cole says the scene was secured and police determined that there was no immediate danger. No injuries were reported.
Cole says firearms are banned on the campus.
The Kentucky Enquirer reports that the 460-bed dorm opened this
year and that an e-mail was sent to students notifying them of the
incident.
