A handful of those survivors marked the anniversary here in Fresno.

They rang a bell for the victims at the V.A. auditorium in Central Fresno Sunday morning, at the exact moment of the attack.

Naval Airmen from Lemoore helped recognize the survivors by posting the colors and laying a wreath. The survivors say it's important for all Americans to remember the surprise attack and how it changed the world.
