Caylee Anthony Remains Identified

Forensic experts in central Florida are confirming that the skeletal remains found in the woods last week are those of missing toddler Caylee Anthony. The worst is confirmed by authorities Friday.

The Medical Examiner's Office said Caylee was murdered; an exact cause of death is still undetermined. The three year olds mother Casey Anthony reported her missing last July, even though she admitted Caylee had been missing since June. Police said everything the mother told them initially, such as that Caylee had been left with a babysitter, even her place of employment, was false. The twenty-two year old Anthony was indicted last October on first-degree murder and other charges, even without a body. Then last week skeletal remains were found in a wooded area a half-mile from Caylee's grandparents home. One of the officers involved in the investigation describes the emotions the case has brought out.

Orange County, Florida Sheriff, Ken Beary said, "There's been an open wound in the community, and I believe we can start putting some closure to those open wounds."

Casey Anthony is being held at the Orange County Jail, officials said she has been made aware of the development.
