Homes for the Homeless

December 23, 2008 9:31:38 PM PST
A Fresno organization is looking to take the homeless off the street and not just give them a place to live, but ultimately make them home-owners.The Central Community Development Center broke ground on a nine unit condominium complex in Southeast Fresno.

The condos will be temporary housing for the homeless. They can live there for up to a year and get social service assistance during that time.

That includes information about finding work and buying a home. How fast the condominiums are built is dependent on donations and volunteers.

If you'd like to help you can contact the Central Community Development Center at 252-7777.
