Passengers finally flying out of Seattle

SEATTLE

A spokesman, Perry Cooper, says only about a hundred people spent Monday night at the terminal, and ticket counter lines Tuesday are greatly reduced.

Thousands of people had been stranded for days by cancellations due to winter weather.

Alaska and Horizon airlines, which account for about half the Sea-Tac flights, offered limited service Monday and planned to resume normal operations Tuesday. They advised passengers to check flight status at home before heading for the airport.
