Overwhelming Community Response for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Build

January 6, 2009 2:37:05 PM PST
Over 3,800 Central Valley residents have volunteered to help with the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition build. Coordinators are currently working on scheduling and assigning jobs to the hundreds of volunteers. Volunteers will be contacted within the next 48 hours with more details and assigned times.

Due to the overwhelming response some volunteers will not be needed on the build site, however we encourage everyone to visit www.deyoungproperties.com to consider making a donation to this deserving Central Valley family. We also highly encourage the entire Central Valley to come out and support this exciting community project as a spectator. You can find spectator information at www.deyoungproperties.com.

"We thank the entire community for stepping up to the plate and appreciate everyone's involvement and patience as we coordinate this exciting build. In able to maximize the amount of people on this project we have reduced the volunteer time from eight hours to four hours as we want as many people as possible to be involved in this project," said Paula De Young, Executive Vice-President of De Young Properties.

Coordinators are keeping everyone's contact information on file in case other volunteer opportunities arise with this project.
